Six years of research, now a certified center.
The Operations Management Research Centre (OMReC/UFSC) was established on July 21, 2025, and is officially affiliated with and certified by the Federal University of Santa Catarina, founded by Professor Dr. Andrei Bonamigo.
What we do
OMReC is dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge and applied innovation in operations management across industrial and service contexts. Its scope covers the analysis and improvement of production systems, the management of complex service systems, and topics such as performance, value creation, sustainability, and digital transformation.
The center represents the evolution of the former Grupo de Estudos e Pesquisa em Engenharia de Serviços (GEPES), the Study and Research Group in Service Engineering based at the Federal Fluminense University (UFF). GEPES gained recognition for its research, teaching, and outreach activities focused on industrial service management, particularly in the business-to-business context.
